Who we are
The controller of your personal data is Quantum Software Technologies Ltd, company number 14209581, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. Contact us about data at [email protected].
What we collect
When you use the form we collect your first name, last name, email address, phone number and IP address. We also record the time you ticked the consent box, the version of the consent text you saw, the page you were on, and the country you chose or we detected.
We do not collect payment details. We do not ask for identity documents. A broker may do so later, under its own policy.
Why we use it, and our basis
We use your details to contact you about opening an account with an executing broker. Our basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box. We also keep a record of that consent, to prove it, under our legitimate interest in handling disputes.
We use limited technical data, such as your IP address, to prevent abuse and to limit how many forms can be sent from one place.
Who we share it with
With your consent, we share your name, email, phone number and IP address with the executing broker for your country, so it can contact you about an account. Our service providers, such as hosting and customer-management suppliers, process data for us under contract. We do not sell personal data.
We may disclose data when the law requires it or to protect ourselves in a legal claim.
Transfers abroad
Some providers may handle data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we expect the safeguards that data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact details while you are on our list or in contact with us, and delete or anonymise them within a reasonable period after you ask us to stop. Consent records, which hold only a hashed IP address and a hashed email address, are kept for as long as needed to answer a legal claim.
Security
Pages are sent over TLS 1.3. We store IP addresses in consent records only in hashed form, and we keep our server secrets outside the public website folder. No system is free of risk, and we cannot promise that data will never be exposed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable form, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also opt out of calls. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within one month.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, if you think we have handled your data badly. We would like the chance to put it right first.
Cookies and local storage
We use essential browser storage to remember your cookie choice. It does not identify you. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It loads only after you choose Accept analytics, and never before. We set no advertising cookies.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button in the footer. Choosing Essential only means analytics never loads.
Calls and emails
If you consent, we may contact you by email or phone about opening an account. We do not send general marketing without separate consent. You can opt out of calls, or withdraw consent, at any time by writing to [email protected]. We act on requests as soon as we can, and we keep a record of the request so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
Automated decisions
We do not use your data to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you by automated means. Basic automated checks, such as rate limits, only decide whether a form is accepted.
Other websites
This site links to other websites, such as Companies House and platform pages. They have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we do with data, we will update this page and, if the change matters, ask for consent again. The consent text you saw is recorded with your details.
