Risk Disclosure

This page explains the risks of trading forex, CFDs and crypto. Read it before you trade any money, and again whenever your situation changes.

Trading is high risk

Trading forex, CFDs and crypto carries a high risk of losing money, including all of it. Only trade money you can afford to lose. If losing it would change your life, do not trade it.

Xaqzevoruli is rule-based trading software published by Quantum Software Technologies Ltd. It is not a broker, it does not hold your money and it cannot reduce the risk that markets carry.

Leverage magnifies losses

Leveraged products let you hold a position larger than the money you put up. A small price move then produces a large change in your balance, and it works in both directions. A move that feels minor can remove your whole deposit.

You can lose more than you deposit

With some products and some brokers, losses can exceed your deposit, leaving you owing money. Some brokers offer negative balance protection and some do not. Ask your broker, in writing, before you deposit.

Loss rates

Regulated brokers must publish the percentage of their retail client accounts that lose money when trading these products. The figure is often more than half. It is stated in each broker's own risk warning, and it changes over time.

Where a broker is listed here, read its own published figure, with the date, on its website. Treat a platform that hides this number with suspicion.

Volatility and gaps

Prices can move sharply on news, at the open, or when liquidity thins. A price can jump past your stop, so the order fills at a worse level than you planned. A stop is an instruction, not a promise of a price.

Slippage, spreads and costs

Orders fill at the prices available at that moment, which may differ from the price you saw. Spreads, commissions, overnight financing and fees reduce your results on every trade, including trades that go your way.

Software and connection risk

Software can contain errors. Internet connections drop, brokers pause trading, and servers fail. Rules that you write can be wrong, and software will apply a wrong rule faithfully. Check your settings, start with the smallest size, and watch what the software does.

Simulations and examples

Charts, calculators and illustrations on this site are educational. They are illustrative, not live data and not a prediction. Past performance, real or simulated, is not a guide to the future.

No advice

Nothing on this site is investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation to trade. We do not know your circumstances. If you need advice, speak to a suitably qualified and regulated adviser.

Our conflict of interest

Xaqzevoruli is a software vendor and marketing affiliate. We receive rebates and referral fees from partner brokers. We are therefore paid when people register, not when they succeed. Read how we make money.

Availability

Access is restricted in some countries, and the list may change. Where trading is offered, it is only through an executing broker licensed for your country. If we cannot offer you the service, you will not be able to reach the site or join the list.

Your responsibility

You alone decide whether to trade, with whom, and how much. Read the broker's terms, fees and risk warning. Keep records for tax. Stop if you are trading to recover losses, if you feel pressure, or if trading is affecting your health or relationships. Free, confidential help with gambling and money worries exists in most countries.

Behavioural risk

Losses are stressful, and stress makes people break their own rules: adding to a losing position, removing a stop, or trading larger to win money back. Rules in software can help, but only if you leave them alone. Take breaks, and never trade while upset, tired or under pressure.

Broker and counterparty risk

Your broker holds your money. If the broker fails, delays withdrawals or behaves badly, you may lose money or wait a long time to recover it. Protection schemes, where they exist, have limits and conditions. Check which regulator licenses your broker, and what protection applies.

Crypto-specific risks

Crypto prices can move far further and faster than currencies, trade around the clock, and are often poorly regulated. Exchanges and wallets can be hacked or fail. Trading a crypto CFD does not give you the coin itself.
